Bouquet questions
Measurements, substitutions and ordering flowers.
Can we leave the stems open?
Yes. Describe the colour or shape you want. Mention a favourite flower if its scent or texture matters.
What if a particular stem is unavailable?
Name the part you want to keep. A different ruffled flower can keep the softness of a garden rose. Ask your florist to agree any substitutions with you.
What measurements help?
For a vase, give its height and the width across its opening. For a table bowl, include the available footprint and how high it can sit without blocking the view.
How do we describe flowers for several tables?
List the number of tables, their shapes and any differences between them. Count the vessels separately if you want several bud vases on each table.
Can we set a budget?
Add a spending limit to the brief and say what it should cover. Ask for a total including any vase, delivery, set-up or collection you need.
What should we confirm before ordering?
Ask your florist to confirm the arrangement, substitutions, date, handover and full price in writing. For hired vases, check the return arrangements too.
