Slate, lead and lime

  • Matched to your roof

Slipped or broken slates refixed or replaced in the same size and colour, so the repair blends in.

  • Sound slates kept

Sound ones go back on your roof or are kept for your repairs. Broken ones are taken away.

  • Copper nails, lime mortar

New Welsh slate on copper nails. Ridge tiles rebedded and repointed in lime mortar.

  • New lead

Flashings, soakers, valleys and dormer cheeks dressed in new lead.

  • A written quote first

We come, look from the ladder and the loft, and send a written quote.

  • Watertight first in a storm

We assess the damage and make temporary repairs when conditions allow safe access.

The valley we work in

  • Terraced galleries of a North Wales slate quarry, a hand-coloured period photograph
  • Watercolour of a sailing boat and slate blocks on the quayside near Lord Penrhyn's quarries
  • Dark crag and russet slopes in Snowdonia under heavy cloud
  • Pen-and-wash drawing of a stone bridge and waterfall below Snowdonia peaks
  • Pen-and-wash drawing of a Snowdonia lake with distant hills under cloud
  • Sepia view of Ogwen Falls and the valley below Nant Ffrancon
